Hoover Police earns national accreditation

House Watch Program

The Hoover Police Department's House Watch Program is designed for residents who will NOT have anyone (such as pet sitters, someone watering plants/checking the residence, etc.) at their home while they are away for an extended period of time. (NOTE: Requests for longer than two weeks, or for consecutive two week periods, will not be accepted.)

If you have someone watching your house, have them contact the Police Department in the event it looks like something is "out of place" or "disturbed."

If your plans change and you return earlier than stated on your House Watch request form, or if you will no longer be away from your home after submitting a House Watch request, please send an email to [email protected] to let us know.

Property Information

By checking this box, I understand that this is a request. I attest that I've asked no one else to 'house sit' or check on my property during the dates listed below. I understand that is a courtesy service provided by HPD, and is a “request”. It is not a guarantee of service. Other factors, such as call volume, other calls of a higher emergency priority, needs of the city and needs of the shift take precedence.
