Suspect in car break-in charged (update from 08/30/2017)

On 08/30/2017, HPD posted a photo on our social media asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a car break-in.  The offense occurred on 08/26/2017 in the parking lot of Olive Garden Riverchase Galleria. 

Below is the background:
This man is wanted for questioning in an Unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle case which occurred approximately 2:00PM on 08/26/2017 in the parking lot of Olive Garden Riverchase Galleria. The suspect is described as a W/M wearing jeans, sandals, t-shirt and was smoking a cigarette. Suspect vehicle is unknown.
We received multiple tips regarding the identity of this man.  As a result of the ensuing investigation, Detectives were able to screen an Unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle warrant (Jefferson County DA-Bham) on:

Branden Paul ALFANO, 30, Alabaster
UBEV  $10,000 bond

Alfano is currently in the Jefferson County Jail on this charge, as well as two other charges that are unrelated to this case.
